On Sunday, September 21, Urban Green marched with green building groups like Passive House NY, GreenHomeNYC, Solar One and others, as part of the “We Have Solutions” contingent at the historic People’s Climate March.

Up ahead in the march of over 300,000, building labor activists and artists—including electricians from Local 3, sheet metal workers from Local 28, and more—proudly stood aboard a float they’d created for the event. It depicted a city of the future filled with green elements like renewable energy and green roofs, all surrounding a massive, bicycle-powered, LED-lit sign declaring, “We Build The Future, Labor Is Ready.” GPRO collaborated with the Workers Art Coalition to envision the float and is excited to continue working together to engage construction trades in the climate movement.
